PRAGUE CASTLE

A huge, ancient fortress stonily ribbons the hill rising above Prague’s Mala Strana. Its massive walls and towers, and the soaring spires of Saint Vitus Cathedral, are visible from almost every quarter of the city. Here legend and archaeological evidence converge: this has been the seat of Bohemian royalty since the 9th century. Beyond the cathedral lies Golden Lane, the little medieval community originally built in the sixteenth century by perhaps the most melancholic and madly acquisitive of all the Habsburg emperors, Rudolf II. Legends surround this charming,
miniscule collection of cottages wherein lived court-maintained alchemists and sorcerers – and not a few infamous charlatans – in pursuit of the philosopher’s stone.

BLACK LIGHT THEATRE

On a basis of original idea of the Black Theatre, lays a synthesis of traditional Czech black theatre with musical, dance and a pantomime. Its performances are a mixture of fantastic and real. The world of charmed subjects is wakened up by actors in black tricot. The collective created in 1989 in a short time has managed to conquer the hearts of many Czech and foreign spectators, and to become one of the most popular of Prague theatres.

MEDIEVAL SHOW IN PRAGUE

As you enter the Medieval Tavern, the sights and smells transport you back through the ages. The hustle and bustle of entertainers and scrumptious serving wenches are all around, as you are seated at dark wooden tables lit by candlelight. Above you, ropes hang down from thick gnarled beams. A hearty 5 course dinner is included. An extensive historical show plays out all around you, spanning the whole evening. Among the many performers are swordsmen, jugglers and beautiful dancers dressed in costumes from the Middle Ages. Medieval musicians stroll around, and a fortune-teller may reveal your destiny. FOLKLORE EVENING SHOW

You are invited to an unforgettable evening that will get you in touch with the Czech soul and tradition. While sharing the countryside atmosphere in our beautiful garden you will be able to savour hearty Czech food, have lots of fun, and learn a great deal about the Czech people, their music, dance, and folklore. Please join us for this countryside celebration of dance and music and don’t forget the food, we offer some of the most typical Czech three courses meals, prepared on our outdoor grill all washed down with some of the best Czech beers renowned all over the world. The program includes a full folklore show performed by four professional dancers, five musicians, and a moderator, dressed in traditional Czech clothing. During the show, guests will be encouraged to take an active part in singing and dancing, by participating in the singing and dancing guided by our performers. International songs will be played during the last part of the evening according to the guests’ nationality followed by a dancing party and singing contest.
